mine are all over the board 2014 jkur. I have an accurate two accurate gauges that read the same to the 1/2 pound but my evic is 2 or 3 psi different at any given time. My mpg is the same it is never the same as when I hand calculate it. I chalk it up to being a Chrysler. My speedo and odometer are spot on tho so at least I know some things are calibrated correctly.

Possibly....but then you would not understand why the answer to your question is "no".

I wish they would just make a new jeep with old school technology that lasted. We know how to check air pressure

like you said you even checked it your way to second guess the digital reading . So why do they complicate the matters just more lights to blow out and throw errors!
We are blessed with "digital" because it is cheap and easily reproducible. The customer base demands the things it can do and the government mandates things only digital technology can accomplish. The concept is not flawed, but the execution by the manufacturers certainly is. Done right, it is amazing. Done the way Fiat / Chrysler does it..... The "old days" are truly gone forever.

if quality parts and a solid warranty were in them , Id be very happy with all the new technology but its he fact that its junk that fails down the line & most likely not something we can fix in the driveway . I think digital belongs in cars not jeeps

Tire pressure should be checked with a gauge periodically, even with the display on the instrument panel.
Agreed. Just a safety precaution. I believe
Federal guidelines state the light must come on when 25lbs below placard psi.

That's not much air left when the placard pressure is in the mid-30s.

Well, it's not just what I feel it's for. It's what it actually is for, by design.

Not everyone knows it, but the electronics industry supplies active and passive components that while not military specification, are developed for hostile environment application (automotive) and are extremely reliable in automotive use. Unfortunately the entire electronics industry is plagued by counterfeit suppliers from.....China, that have caused havoc in the entertainment electronics industry and some what less so in the automotive field. The current high failure rate of OPDA sensors from Crown and Doorman could be related to the counterfeit rackets. The miserable failure rates of some electronic modules in Dodge Ram trucks and Jeeps (TIPM) seem to be more related to poor construction practices (unprotected interconnections) and not so much discrete parts failures. (just my opinion based on small samples). We can still fix some of this in our driveways, just depends on how much money you want to spend to acquire parts mules.

Default welli wont attempt it !

if I can live with out it , and it still drives ok . I don't mind normal wear and tear items but all the modern stuff really bugs me even the fact I cant get to my six spark plugs easy gets me mad on my 2012 drivers side forget it . you need to dis- assemble the jeep or even then you need special tools not to destroy the plug way down in the tube . (wheres the advantage?) id rather replace them every 50,000 with a socket wrench and checking my tire pressure wasn't a chore either (have we really gained much from all the modern junk)
military spec ok but were not getting that at all it all started with emission control give me points and condenser & dstributer cap
