My 2012 was a 4.1 Rubi as well. And I had the hill assist turned off day one. It's all personal preference, I just expected something smoother in a vehicle in the $40k range even if its a wrangler. IMO the pentastar doesn't pair well with the manual transmission especially with the DBW hesitation. Or like you said maybe those are just excuses to cover for my laziness...

Lol... I went back and forth when I traded my last one in on the '12. I decided that for me the fun factor outweighed my own laziness.

It's not a permanent disable. Meaning you can switch it on or off at will. Just repeat the same steering wheel dance.
