Transmission
My 2016 Jeep 75th anniversary started having a transmission problem. Sometimes it would not shift out of low or when taking off from a dead stop it would feel like you were pulling out of thick sand. I had to replace the battery in it and it cleared up for a day but started again the next day. I checked the fluid and it is red, not burndt and full. I have owned the Jeep since new. It has 106k on it and is bone stock. The first year of ownership i had a similar problem and the dealer changed a sensor or solenoid (?) to fix it.
any ideas?
thanks

Here's a clue: "There is a dipstick tube but no dipstick." Your oil is likely contaminated. A good splash of water would probably be all it takes, especially if it's been off for a while and dust has settled inside the tube. Also, if you used your Jeep for any 'wheeling, some transmission oil might have splashed out. Any idea how long it's been that way?
I'd just bite the bullet and have a complete transmission flush and new filter. ...oh, and get a dipstick tube!

I am a dummy. It does have a dipstick (my truck i owned didn't have a dipstick). I edited my message. It was full, red and not burnt. This Jeep has had a pamperd life. Dealer serviced since new untill they tried to screw me on a transfer case fluid change a couple of years ago.

Do you have any fault codes?
