Not so lucky... it was a week wait between the "diagnosis" and today, due to ordering time. As I've posted on other threads here, they could have diagnosed it over the phone. The service writer looked at my like I was a circus clown when I came in telling them what was wrong. OK, I haven't been a certified marine diesel mechanic for over 15 years, but I certainly could read the TSB and perform the 3 minute diagnostic...

So I pick it up tonight. Squeeking is gone!!!

In it's place, I have a poorly reinstalled shift boot and a big 'ol smudge across the pass seat where the monkey who botched the shift boot up leaned his greasy arm. Seems like a fair trade to me - NOT!

Have them clean it for you.

Mine was fixed last week. So far so good. Will this be a recurring problem, or is it fixed and forgotten?

Is the throw-out bearing a problem that appears after awhile or do you have it from the first mile?

Thanks in advance for the help.

i noticed the squeel sound within the first week of having it, when i had the top down, and once i noticed it i started to hear it all the time. but mine doesnt start making noise until after u drive it for awhile. which was a problem when they went to diagnose it, they couldnt hear it the first time they drove it. but they got the parts in today!!!! so hopefully i can get it before they close tonight!!!!

this was all within 300 on the car i started to hear it.

I took my 2 dorr in today for the 5k mile inspection, mentioned the TSB (unfortunately neglected to bring the print out), He said they'd run the VIN. Told me they saw nothing and dismissed it. So I guess I will have to go back with the the print out and see what they say.

My dealer was the same way initially, until I whipped the TSB out and told him that this was what I wanted fixed. Finally squeak free - had to stand outside and listen to how the engine really sounds tonight. Nice!

Now they have to fix the shift boot and grease on the seat. Idiots.

Default Please Help!!!

I have this same problem as well. I took mine into the dealership and they were having a hard time diagnosing the problem. Finally they said that Chrysler would not cover this and said if it becomes a problem in the future to bring it back and they will see what they can do. Well, it's a problem now and it drives me crazy! Where can I find this TSB so that I can print it out, take it to them and demand that it be fixed????
