I'm having difficulty locking my center console on my '11 sahara. The key just won't turn all the way. Anybody having any similar problems?

I'm @ the stealership right now getting mine looked @. I was having the problem with it. the key wouldn't turn and when i did lock it would still open. I will let you know what they tell me.

i had the same issue, they ended up replacing the locking mechanism under warranty and its all good now

So they stealership told me that everything is working fine, I just have to wiggle the key a little to lock & unlock it. WHAT? And also that it does lock, but if u pull hard enough it will come open. REALLY? Doesn't that mean it doesn't lock? The only good thing is I walked out of there with a free oil change.

I'm having the same problem w my '11 Sport Unlimited... I gave up on it and jus started using the front/glove compartment box locks great...

I have only tried mine 1 time and now that I think about it I did notice it was really hard to turn. I will have mine looked at when I go for oil change also.

My center console wouldn't lock right off the lot (2011). The service ticket said they replaced the console lid.

My 2011 worked for quite a while then I was having the same issue. I ended up finding I had a black comb that slid back to the hinge area that had just enough interference to set the lock off just enough. Personally I think the upper section is a bad design in that regards

Mine didn't work either...even when I forced it to lock, I could just give it a quick yank and it would open right up. The lock is junk. I replaced it with the Tuffy console insert.
