If I twisted my front OEM drive shaft on an 07 two door rubicon what other things have I caused damage to?

What you got under the hood; a supercharged Hemi? If you've managed to do that to the driveshaft I'd be checking your diff centres and drive axles and front U-joints very carefully.

Just as a matter of interest, what exactly were you doing when this occured?

 

I am curious, how much lift do you have on your jk?

 

I was pulling an activist groups' mud stuck rv that was abnormally large.

No lift and my Rubi is stock. Tow strap didn't break. In 4 wheel low.

I removed the shaft waiting for delivery of new one. Everything seems to be working now that the shaft is removed.

 

That has happened to quite a few stocker ds's on here, would prolly be more if peeps didn't change there's out so quickly after doing lifts. Stock ds's are crap. Only thing I'd be worried about checking is your axle u-joints, make sure c-clips are still on and the caps look ok.

 

Pulling an RV!!!! Are you crazy?? I'm sure you're a very nice guy, but tow trucks rated for pulling out heavy duty vehicles make our Jeeps look like toys.

Hope nothing else is messed up. Just don't replace with a stocker!!

 

Been there done that! Those stock drive shafts are utter junk. Mopar screwed up big time on the design on those.

 

Actually, you're probably lucky that the DS did fail under the extraordinary strain and acted as the weak link in the drivetrain, otherwise you could have grenaded the diff or snapped an axel shaft. Driveshafts are relatively cheap and quick to replace, entire D44 setups are not.

 

Ironically, I just replaced the entire front diff. two weeks ago. Twice. That was fun. Electrics failed. What luck. Right after warranty ended. Shame huh. Almost as funny as a plastic lock on the center console that vandals broke within two weeks of delivery. Glad that tuffy makes a 500$ replacement. Windows gets viruses good thing there's antivirus software I can buy. Ha ha ha haha. Jeep dealer wants a grand for replacement. 30 driveshafts equals in new Rubicon. Think Jeep will ever make a product they'll ever be proud they made America great again? an indestructible asset instead of a half truthed liability.
This is my forth Jeep. I've never driven anything else. Saw my neighbors cj5 being restored yesterday. Did your know you could use a roll of toilet paper as an oil filter? They make our hoods and body panels out of aluminum foil, our grills out of plastic (Good paint though) and cut every corner they can. We can't ask for more but I can inform Jeep they can do better. For us customers and AMERICA. Earn that stupid trail rated badge you put on all these Jeeps. Hey Jeep, were you aware land Rover is represented at the Biltmore estate in NC in a four wheel adventure for like 200+ an hour? No Jeeps allowed. For shame.

Anyway found website that sells OEM driveshafts for 150.00. 850.00 mark up for parts dept. Huh?
