U-Connect Is Alive
Just got my u-connect installed and programmed at the dealership. I've seen numerous post of issues with u-connect and I was really concerned about getting this up and going. It wasn't painless, after the install the dealership was unable to program it/get the computer to recognize it was installed. Had to make a second trip and leave the Jeep there all day. But it paid off, picked it up after work yesterday and it works great.
Hope anyone else with the u-connect enjoys it as much as I do mine.

To trips? You have checked it out before you left the stealer the first time. I try to go through whatever it was there for before I leave. Going to the stealer sucks as it is.
Good thing is it was resolved in the end.

I feel lucky it was only two trips.
First trip I knew they hadn't gotten it to work. Closing time for them and I couldn't leave it; I had to have the jeep to get back and forth to work. Made arrangements to drop it off two days later.
It's all good, it works now!

Mine defaulted to French when they installed it... it took the dealer a while to get it to English - they actually came out and told me (I think they hoped I spoke French). Even then, it did not take them long from beginning to end.
Having the iPod cable thing installed, that took them a while (early 07 aux issue). Luckily, the dealer gave me a new radio under warrenty.
