Question Upper Dash Panel

I purchased the Daystar Upper Dash Panel and had to take the two "clips" off the stock piece to let it lock in place, and I had to take it on and off multiple times while installing my subs and amp and in the process I lost one of the clips. The piece won't go down and lock in place fully now and I have been looking a replacement clip, but no one seems to have one. The dealer said I would have to buy the whole stock dash panel to get another clip. Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement without paying for a new stock dash panel?

I got one from a forum member who had some extra ones. Can't remember where he got them though Hopefully you'll luck out like I did

I lost one of the clips that holds mine on. I took one from the top of my radio trim surround, the piece that goes all the way down past the a/c controls. since it screws in at the top, I figured one of the upper clips wouldnt be needed, put it all back together with the screw in, cant even tell that I took it out to use on the upper panel.

so free always beats $$

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Don't buy the whole bezel with clips. There is no need for that. You CAN buy the clips separately. You just need the part numbers. Look here for some help.

I have an 08 wrangler X with the stock panel. I'm looking for an upper panel from a newer wrangler that has the dash tray built in. Does anyone have one they'd like to get rid of, or mane where I could buy one?
I looked at some of the aftermarket ones and I'm just not sure that's what I want.
Thanks for the help

there are metal clips holding it im place on the back (part closest to the windsheild) use a flat head screwdriver (or dash trip pry bar) and pop it up on a back corner, part closest to the windshield again, not the part overhanging on the front. it then swings up and away from the windshield and has little guide hooks on the front over the radio, very easy to take off.

Just buy them from another dealer, the daystar instruction panflet tells you the part number, order it that way, its about a dollar each.

didnt you say you just lost one clip? take one from the area closest to the top of the radio trim surround, it screws in at the top holding it snuggly in place and you wont even know the difference. why spend the $$?
