Default warranty work

well i just took my jeep in to the dealer because the drivers floor board was soaking wet all the time, first gear keeps poping out and my ac line was rubing the bottom of the hood. They fixed the ac line, they put all new weather stripping around the drivers door and put all new stripping along the header. They cant make first gear pop out so they cant do any thing to it.

Get a copy of the TSB on this forum.

I think it states that it may be difficult to replicate but they must take certain steps to resolve the issue.

Our tranny was replaced due to this issue and the dealer could not replicate it either.

Stick with it mate you shoould not have to put up with this problem.

What issues are you having with popping out of 1st? I still have a little bit of time left on my warranty and lately while I have been driving down the street my jeep pops out of 3rd.

I had the problem with first.. They gave me the same BS line "we cant make it happen so everything is ok"

Needless to say I printed out the TSB and went with a full tank of gas. They called me about an hour after I gave them the Jeep and said the same BS line and then asked me what I wanted to do.

"Is the red needle on E?" They said No so I told them to drive it until it doesnt go anymore. 10 minutes later I got another call this time they said they were replacing 1st and 2nd syncros under warranty.

Waited a week and now no more popping out of gear!

I hope replacing the synchros fixes the problem for you. My understanding of the "popping out of 1st" problem was that it was due to a broken bearing cage that allowed this bearing, that's designed to keep it in 1st, to dislodge from its seat. Maybe they fixed that too & just didn't mention it?
