Just replaced my water pump at 121K miles.
It was lightly weeping for a good 30K miles. Not the water pump itself, just the gasket. I put a few RTV patches on during that time, but figured I should finally get around to doing it right.
The gasket was toast. The water pump and engine block mating surfaces has surface corrosion. Had to lightly coat the new gasket with RTV to make sure it sealed ok. (The water jacket itself was pristine.)
Glad I changed out the pump too -- it had a slight 'click' in the bearings if you rotated it by hand.

Mine is 07 with 55k. Water pump went began leaking a few months ago. Pump was still good but since I had it off to replace the gasket I replaced the pump anyways.
