Default Water Trapped somewhere up front

Heyas,

Search wasn't my friend.

I have the sound of sloshing water coming from somewhere to the right front, in front of the firewall, when I make any strong turn to the left. Not a little, a LOT. Once, just once, I had a minute trickle of water for all of a second come out of the driver side foot well vent. Floors are bone dry, no warning messages, all works, but I got that sound and I'm sure I got a gallon or two of water trapped somewhere.

It's been raining here for 2 weeks essentially, so I can't tell if maybe my AC drain hole or something else is clogged/plugged (went offroading a few months back, there was some hub deep muddy water a couple of times) since the ground is always wet.

Any ideas?

I had this EXACT same thing just happen with mine. It's the a/c drain...under the driver's side of the jeep...mine was clogged. Take off the little rubber drain hose and poke a small screw driver in the whole, but be careful...when i did mine, about a gallon of water came out. It's been about a week now and no more sloshing from inside the dash.

I had something similar happen to me. I was washing off the Jeep on a slight incline. Water went into the cowl vent and poured all over the passenger side floor. You should invest in a cowl vent scoop to help keep the water out when it is raining. It also pushes in some cooler air when the vent is on.

I have had this happen as well, just not to the JK. Typically it has been the A/C drain line clogged due to insects, specifically what we call mud dobbers down here. Just take a close hanger wire and run it up the line. Should clear it right up, and prepare for a shower.

Mine isnt clogged and it seems to drain onto the transmission and run down the side of it. Maybe look above the bell housing. just a guess.

Will look, but if anyone has a more specific description that would be great. it was really bad this morning, sounds like a small ocean up front (but nothing on the floor).

my a/c seems to drain right above where the exhaust pipe runs under the firewall
look up the fire wall above the exhaust pipe.

Footnote . This worrys me as I had a honda that had the drain above where the exhaust pipe ran and it caused a rust hole in the exhaust right on that spot. Rest of the pipe was fine but I had to replace it as it got a hole on that spot.
