Default What am I doing wrong?

Tying to change oil in 2014 wrangler for first time. Went to buy a Fram filter for my Jeep and it said use Fram CH11665. Well that was not the right filter so I go on line and see where Chrysler changed the filter for 2014. I used the Chrysler part # from Chrysler 68191349aa and the Wix brand equivalent is W10010. It certainly looks like the original but I cannot for the life of me get the male tip of the filter into the female receiver in the oil filter cap. Just how much force do I use? I'm afraid I will break the plastic receiver in the oil cap. Any tips?

You shouldn't need to use much force at all to seat filter in cap. Might want to check make sure you got the right filter.

I'm confused. Why is the oil filler cap involved with the filter? :O

he stated "oil filter cap". Not oil filler cap. It's a cartridge filter.

I hope you aren't really serious but if you are you're trying to put the filter in upside down.
