Default What is this bolt for on my steering knuckle?

I am replacing my steering knuckle on the passenger side. I noticed this bolt and am unable to get it off of the old knuckle. What does it do and am I going to die without it? It is very much stuck on

Steer Stop bolt?

Used to adjust the turn radius. Sometimes people will adjust this when they go to bigger tires without going to lower backspaced rims. Remove the bolt, add a small washer, then reinstall - and the turn radius is narrowed.

That's the last structural piece of the knuckle, without it the knuckle has no stability and will cause all kinds of issues (#1 cause of death wobble), be very careful to not lose it.

Or.....it could be a steering stop too.

If I have any problems with death wobble or rubbing I will deal with taking it off and installing it on the new knuckle

you probably want to keep that bolt on and adjusted to your limits of the steering box. any force on the tires will be limited to that bolt and knuckle, if not it will damage your steering box. 50cent bolt or a 500 steering box...pretty easy call IMO

Spray with PB Blaster. Clamp into vise, put a wrench on it with a long pipe.

or do what Ronjenx suggested and just order a new screw.
