Default What type of tape is this?

Hi - I’ve been trying to track down a leak on my passenger side floorboard and while waiting for some parts to arrive and took off my cowel to check this area. Only problem is I removed some type of automotive tape to get down in there and I want to try and replace it with the same stuff. Can anyone help me identify what I need to buy?

Thanks!

Tom

Can you describe it? I know there are some automotive applications that use 3M VHB double sided tape. This tape is also used to put the aluminum skin on trailers to avoid using screws or rivets.

Hmm just saw that my images did not upload. So attempt two... the second image has the remains fo the tape I mangled off.

Thanks for the replies so far. Flex tape seems promising.

I wouldn't stress about what particular type of tape that was at all, and I'm pretty anal about a lot of things. Were you able to find the source of your leak? Presume you think it's coming in from that area which is why you have it all torn apart.
