Default Whats the differance between??

what is the differance between 33x11.00R17 and LT285/70R17 tires BF Goodrich Mud Terrain T/A KM2 ? On Morris 4x4 center there is a $40 differance. Both tires are advertised as the same size. Iam trying to get my build down below $2000 for tires and leveling Kit. If anyone has any thoughts on a good way to lift/ level my jeep 2.5" and put 33"s on it let me know. Iam going to use my stock 17" wheels. I am looking to get tires that have an aggressive look to them.

The 285/70/17 is roughly 32.7" x 11.2" but you need to check the specs per each manufacture. The cost difference will be demand, the 33x11x17 isn't a common size either. The 33x12.5x17 would be more common. Get which ever is cheaper.

Check the load range on each tire. I wouldn't go any higher than load range D.

because the sidewalls get thicker/stiffer, and the tires get heavier with higher load ranges. Thicker sidewalls = stiffer ride. Heavier tire = rougher/bouncier ride w/ same shocks. If autotrans, heavier tires also can cause degraded engine/tranny performance especially on hills.

A 285 would be more like a 11.4-11.5, so the tire will most likely be wider.
