1000 miles on first.... 3000 between changes with out fail.

I keep the best Dino oil in it, do it NOW! Too soon? No such thing.

Changed mine the first time at 1k miles. Then 6k and whenever the notification pops up after that. You aren't going to do any harm changing it early - just change it. When you consider the price of the vehicle, it is a very cheap precaution.

Did my first change at 500 then 1500 and 3000. All done at the dealer.

Changed mine at 3K. The drain plug was loose from the factory and I removed it with my fingers. CHECK your PLUGS if your Jeep is new. I'm very fortunate it didn't rattle out on the interstate.

I Was planning on changing mine at 3k. I wonder how often is covered by the 2 free years of maintenance?
