Default Where soft top meets windshield

So I was wondering if I could get some of you to post/pm me pictures of what it looks like where your soft tops meets your windshield. Reason being is I still feel like something is hinky with mine. Meaning on the out edges it sits flush but as you move further to the center of the windshield you can see it bow up and not sit flush. That can't be normal at all and I know that's the reason for water seepage coming in when I power wash the jeep. Any help would be most appreciated and the hardware i'm working with is as follows. 2010 JKU originally a hard top converted to soft top. Soft top is from a 2007. What I have done for the time being until some suggest something is removed the center hook on the inside where the hardtop used to latch to (helped a little). Also i've duc taped the gap shut to see if that also gets rid of the wind noise since it sounds like someone left a window cracked (yes i made sure all were shut). Yes I also realize there will be more noise going from a hardtop to a soft top (owned a soft YJ and TJ) but i'm positive my TJ soft top was 100% quieter than what i'm currently running.

If its the metal "header" part of the soft-top that is higher in the middle then I cannot help you.

If the part that is poking up in the middle is a rubber seal then I recommend running you finger over it to get it to tuck in. That will stop a whistle. I have needed to do that a few times.

Sorry I have mine with the hard-top on for winter so no pictures.

Good luck

My 2007 has the plastic header and it bows at the middle letting air noise in on the highway. They sell a metal one at the dealer to replace the plastic factory one.

Or you could try this..... http://www.thesilencersystem.com/

thanks guys. I might try the metal one if I can get it for a good price. I saw that silencer system once before and didn't see it being worth the money and i didn't like the look of a bug deflector way up there. Although you can't really argue wit those results. It actually did work, at least in the video and not knowing from first hand account. I was thinking about buying some weather stripping or sorts to attach to the soft top header portion to try and close the gap/make a better seal. Might try give that a try since its only 5 bucks for some. Again thanks guys and maybe someone else will have something else to say. Pictures to follow tomorrow for a better idea to my annoying issue.

My 2010 has the same bow in front cause the 07 soft top has the plastic cut out in the middle of the header that does not line up with your center foot loop. I tried the silencer system it just frustrated me to the point that I sent it back, if you seat it wrong then it makes the soft top flap around like your in a tornado. After repositioning it a few times and buying more tape to do so I decided to cut my loss "@ $13 each time for the tape" I returned it for a refund. I found that adding the weather striping "3/4inch wide" all cross the header keeps the wind and rain out. Just make sure it's the rubber foam weather striping for automotive use, it seems to make a better seal. The home window/door stuff is ok but after time it flattens out, I found that the auto stuff held its shape better.
Good luck!

Oh by the way I've had the weather striping on for two years and it works great.

I think the best fix will be the new style metal header from Jeep. It will sit flat and seal up. Don't waste your time/money on weather stripping and that silencer system. The plastic header is known to warp and sit high in the middle.
