whistling air conditioner?
It was raining pretty hard today so I had to keep the top on and use the A/C. When it was on high it was making a high pitched whistling noise.Has anyone ever noticed this?:
I have had this noise for about 6 months now. Its that "baffle" that closes when NOT using recirculate on the climate control. It doesn't close tight enough and allows air to pass through creating that annoying whistle.
I haven't had it fixed, but I did attempt to clean the rubber seal, no luck. I will try to fix it again later today or just mention it at my next service.

How though?
Mine has done this since day 1. Now that it's summer it's whistling again.
For some reason my Jeep will start in recirculating mode even though we're circulating mode is not lit up amber. When I click the button to turn on recirculating mode nothing happens everything stays the same except the amber light is lit.
If I press recirculating mode again the amber light turns off and I can hear the door actuator move and then it stops whistling.
I wonder why my Jeep automatically turns on recirculating mode when the AC is on?
