Default why is my traction light coming on?

the light just recently started coming on when i go around curves at certain speeds (above 20mph) The light sometimes flickers too. All my tires are good. tire pressures are up to spec. Alignment is good keeps a strait line good.

I dont understand. My tires arent skidding or losing traction. but when it the light comes on i feel like it shakes the jeep.

Usually a lift will make this happen by displacing the axle to the side a little, which also displaces the steering wheel.

Don't see a lift in your profile, though.

Have you wheeled hard or hit a curb or something, lately.

If your steering wheel is not straight, even a little, it will cause what you see.

When you go into a curve whith a misaligned steering wheel, the Jeep thinks you are starting to skid, so it applies some of the brakes in an effort to stop the skid.

You may also have an ABS sensor with a loose connection.

Its a wheel sensor for the traction control that went bad.

That reminds me...

A bad front wheel bearing can cause this, too.

Just brought mine in , abs light and traction control are stuck on. They said the sensor in the wheel is corroded, most commonly cause by off roading, BUT I just bought my jeep new in may, and have babied it ever since, no mud of puddles etc at all. It'll be covered under warrantee.... I hope

I just had my warrant fuel tank done a couple of months ago. Ever since then my traction, ESP, and BAS, comes frequently. Any ideas?

I bought my jk in may too and I have had the same thing happen a few times from driving fast around curves. I think the computer thinks that the jeep is about to skid or something that's why the abs turns on to keep the rubber side down. When the light comes on for me, I just pull over, turn off the jeep and fire it right back up and continue driving
