Default Will an 07-09 soft top fit on a 2010?

If anyone knows 100%....

Will an 07-09 soft top fit on a 2010?

I'm thinking about buying one and want to be completely sure.

Thanks,
Joe

Well my uncle has been waiting for over 4 months now for a new top from the dealership. Goodluck
I've heard of people waiting longer than that.

my understanding is the 2010 soft top has changed somehow. to fix all the damn leaks we had from 07-09. dude, as many leaking tops that we had, u might want to hold out for the 2010 especially if the price isnt much of a difference. IMO

I believe the headers on 07-08 tops are different 09's (specifically, the footman loop notch is in a different spot).

The '10 footman loop is probably in the same spot as the '09 location, so I don't think an '07 or '08 top would fit a 2010, even if you brought over the older style door surrounds (instead of the new spring system ones).

The footmans loop location would only matter on a hard top (since it has a latch that attaches to it). Soft top should work. Noting that the surrounds are different so you would need a complete 07 top. The 10 surrounds won't work with an older top and the reverse. I wouldn't do it though. Wait to get one that is less likely to leak.

I'm running an 08 soft top on my 09 in the summer and the footman's loop is not a problem, it actually snugs up against it and everything else fits perfect. I'm saying that if the top comes with all of the hardware including door surrounds you could most definitely get it on and make it work, probably save a ton of money in the long run too. Worst case scenario it doesn't fit and you box it up and resell it on craigslist... The hardtop is a whole nother story...

Where it snugs up against it though, it can prevent it from seating all the way in the middle. You're right though, it's not a big deal. A utility knife and 1 minute of scraping a little plastic off and it would fit good.

I think the new header (the metal TSB replacement one) only has 1 part number, so I'm assuming the footman loop cutout is enlarged in a way that it fits perfectly on any year. Therefore, if you didn't want to trim the plastic, you could install the new header.

I saw a 2010 at a recent auto show and the rails looked different than in my 08. I would check with the dealer...I think you may need the whole kit, not just the top.

My Jeep doesn't have a cutout at the footman's loop. 09. Don't remember it having one on the 07. The header on the windshield and the top is continuous. The header on the windshield only has depressions where the clamps sit.
