Default Will 2012 Soft Top JKU fit 2014 JKU

Hello - I know someone selling a 2012 Soft Top from a 4-door. Does anyone know if this will fit my 2014 Wrangler 4-door. It will include all factory hardware. I read somewhere about the footman loop near the latch being an issues but I wasn't sure. Any disadvantages with a 2012 model? Any info would be great. Thanks!

Is there something with spring assist on the 13 and 14s? Or maybe it's on the 2012 too. Not sure if it's worth it anyways.

Sounds good. I'll make sure to get all the hardware before purchasing. Didn't want to get the top and find out later it doesn't fit! Thanks.

Not correct. The new spring assist for the JKU top started in 2013. Don't confuse it with the spring cable retainer started in 2010. The spring assist is a small box where the top mounts to the Jeep that helps put the top up and down.

I just picked up that 2012 soft top for my wrangler unlimited. Does anyone know if the roll bar brackets from the 2012 top I got will work on my 2014? I saw they sell a 13 and 14 that's different bit I thought that might only be when using the 13 or 14 top.

You need the brackets to match the top, so if you have a 2012 top use the 2012 brackets.
