Will not Start. Please help.
I have to tell you my experience. Check the obd2 port for power. Not sure what pin ...look it up. I had no power in mine and found 2 work around to fix it. First was I ran a keyed power wire to the wire that should have had power at the obd2 port and my jeep started up and ran. After a few days I started looking for the place where I lost power. I never found it .but what happened is I looked in the fuse box and saw that I had a bunch of empty spots so I just plugged fuses in every slot and crazy e nm Pugh my jeep has ran fine since and I have disconnected the obd2 jumper. Not saying it would work for you but I was like for free,,, I'll take it.
good luck
good luck
I will likely be back in a 2012 or better soon.
I believe I called it in the 3rd post of this thread lol. Most people don't know what a TIPM is but they do know what the fuse box in front of the battery is (it's the TIPM btw) lol. I traded it in for my wife's Armada Platinum edition. Growing family and she wanted a tank. It's pretty damn nice. I had a good bit of equity in my jeep that we were able to get it below KBB value so we now have positive equity in the Armada.

However, I have gotten the need for speed bug again recently. I'm really liking the subaru wrx sti sedans. Lol. Don't judge too hard.
Glad it's fixed. I would recommend that you call customer care and let them know your TIPM went out. It's a very known issue for late 2007 and 2008 models and as I previously stated earlier Chrysler openly admits it's their fault and it's a faulty part they used in those years. There is currently an open investigation into this issue by the NHSTA also that Chrysler is fully aware of. Save your service invoice and paperwork. If/when they finally issue a recall or an extended warrant on the part, you'll get a full refund. It's ridiculous they haven't yet as its a huge safety issue and they aren't standing behind their product. It's the main reason I'm considering elsewhere for my next vehicle.

Jeep needs to recall these TIPM's I think we have replaced 6 this year from 08' to 12'; mostly power door lock and cooling fan problems. We have two on backorder for 08's and I'm told we are 79th on the list.
I think if it was mostly fuel pump control failure it would be more of a safety concern; but still, at $5-600 a crack it's getting expensive. And the TIPM in my wife's 08' JK just lost high speed cooling fan control
I bypassed the TIPM so she can drive it; on newer installs we are using the GM ECM to control the cooling fans due to the likelihood of a TIPM failure.
