will they fit?

going to pick up a stock set of rubicon rim/tires tomorrow, will the set of 5 fit in the back of the unlimited or do I need to drag my trailer with?

...they should...I got all 5 of my stock Sahara wheels/tires in my Jeep when I got me new ones installed. You could always take whatever spare you're currently carrying off the tailgate and install the new one when you arrive to pick them up.

No problem. I fit 5 315/70/17 in the back of mine. Seats down, 3 upright and two on side behind those.

What I did was fit 4 tires in the back and bolted the fifth to my spare tire mount.. I just brought a socket and a breaker bar
