Why do I always learn about these things like two days after I get my windshield replaced? So far no whistle.

I have 2200 miles/9 months owned, on my 2017 JKU Sahara and have had 3 windshields installed, third one went in Monday. First one, distorted with pitting from the factory, second one installed with a 3" scratch, and the third one is perfect, for now. Jeep paid for #2 windshield, and the dealer paid for the 3rd. I cannot complain, dealer was a stand up guy, and their mobile glass installer was neat and thorough, and did a great job. Both times they gave me a loaner. I did not go back to my selling dealer, waste of my patience. This new dealer has thus far treated me great.

Default Windshield whistle solved fix proven

Had a whistle originally, replaced windshield and twice as bad. I work in body shop and have great connections. Did research and it's fixed. Pulled glass and did it again. First, there's a spacer kit that need to be used for correct spacing. Second and MOST IMPORTANT, the windshield MUST sit DEEPER than the windshield frame. If the glass sits away from the frame, wind blows over the top and whistles. If its below the frame, wind is reflected back and no wind vortex is created. My Jeep is as quiet as a gallery watching Tiger putt. The "nickle thickness" posts are referring to the gap to roof. I hope everyone reads this. It's a proven fix.
