Y'all know the JK as 4 torx bolts and 4 Christmas tree style retaining plugs holding the wiper cowling in place. Has anyone replaced the retaining plugs with screws? I'd like to tap the plastic holes and then use Torx bolts in place of the plugs. Anyone using something other than the plugs? If yes, what did you use and how did it work?

 

Welcome to JKF. Good friendly group .. alot of Knowledge. Have not heard of such on the forums; and not sure on the size of the Torx (one that large) if possible.
