Default WTF ... 2013 with 8570 miles won't start

So ....
Here I am buying a new 2013 Jeep and loving it.
Figured I need a new DEPENDABLE vehicle since my
DD had 135,000 miles. So today after driving 50 miles
to work I go out to lunch a quarter mile away and come out
1 hour later and the friggin thing won't start. It just kept
cranking and cranking. Once it sounded like it was going
to start but with no avail. I just had the dealer a few weeks
ago put a Jeep remote start in it. Any ideas ?
What really pissed me off is because it was my last day
of work before I start my chemo treatments for testicular
cancer next Monday. I have 9 to 12 weeks of chemo to go
through at the hospital 20 miles away from where I live.
My Jeep died where I work which is 50 miles away.
I called Jeep roadside and they told me they would tow
it to the closest Jeep dealer. Wouldn't you know it there
is one 13 miles further from where I work. I told them
no f'n way and I wanted it towed to where I bought it.
They then said the first 13 miles was on them and I
would have to pay for anything further. So it cost me
$100 to have it towed to my Dealer. My dealer gave
me a loaner car to use and said they would call ASAP
when they figured it out. So am I pissed ... Oh YA !

Rob ....

Sorry to hear about your medical issues, that certainly ramps up the frustration levels. Good thing you got it back to the dealer who installed the remote start , that's probably the issue. They should cover that extra towing if their install is at fault. Best to you on the road ahead, many happy miles with the new Jeep.

Hope everything works out!! They should cover charges and it all be free if its them at fault, but most importantly I hope your treatments go smoothly!

Got a call from the dealer this afternoon and they said
it was the fuel pump. Are you shitting me !
Fuel pump at 8570 miles ...
Since it is the Holiday weekend they can't get the
part until Wednesday. So I get to drive their rental
until then. My Wife has now decided she will keep her
Avalanche instead of getting rid of it for her own Wrangler :-(

Sorry for your troubles both health wise and vehicle wise, but I got to say that any thing mechanical can and will have problems. It can happen at 20 miles it can happen at a million miles. No dealer can stock all parts for all vehicles. At least they figured out what was the problem

Thanks for the well wishes Everyone !
Ya .... I am just hoping it was just a fluke and not an on going issue.
My Dealer has been great to work with and I love everything about
my Jeep. Just got to hope now that I live to enjoy it and they say it is
curable with chemo. Sorry if I sounded a little edgy. I was having a
really bad day after finding out I will be on disability (60% of my pay)
for the 12 weeks and have to pay taxes and another $500 a month for
my medical coverage at work.
