WTF! - Front Diff Leaking Oil
Ok it seems that most of you here got the wrong impression. I was not blowing a gasket over an oil leak i was freaking out because its a brand new JK that i haven't pooped the cherry on it yet. Now if had been taken offroading or mudding then i wouldn't be as upset seeing an oil leak but that wasn't the case. Trust me being in the army for eight years and constantly fixing oil leaks on HUMVEE'S seeing a simple oil leak wont freak me out.
Well i got the call from the dealership and said problem fixed. So my happy ass jumped on the bicycle and rode down to the dealership to pick up the JK. Turns out when i took it in for an oil change a month ago some were along the line the oil filter wasn't screwed in all the way. So from oil dripping from the filter an pooling around the skid plate the oil ended up dripping off my front diff.
So yeah...

My rear diff leaked with barely any miles on it. Turned out to be a bad seal. Dealership fixed it but it took them a week. Same oil got REAL black 10000 km later. I swapped it and we're good to go!
Your not the only one mate.
Drove our pride and joy from the show room.
Got home 20 min later.
Looked around the Jeep and underneath and noticed a slight leak from one of the bolts holding the rear diff cover in place.
Took it back got the diff cover re-sealed and all good now 3 months later.
After the front diff cover got fixed 2 weeks later noticed the same thing on the front diff cover.
Back to the dealer to get re-sealed.
Shite happens.
But I am amazed at how much sealant the factory used to get these diff covers on and it still leaked. Looked like a 5yr old was sealing the covers.

The good thing about all this is the dealer was rel good about the whole situation and never once gave me a run around on getting my JK fixed. What really upset me the most is that i was under the impression that my JK was breaking down before i had the chance to break it myself, i felt like i was being cheated out of an experience.
