24x14's on 37x15's What do you think?
We took our customers Jeep in today and he came to us with the idea to go big. More so in the Wheel size. He chose a set of Fuel Wheels with a size of 24x14's to be mounted on some Nitto M/T's with a size equivalent to 37x15's. We had no problem mounting them or balancing them by using our Road Force machine.
We got our customer in and out this morning and he was extremely happy with the outcome. He called us back and said that the balance came out perfect.
Now I understand most Jeep owners are not big fans of over sized Wheels, and we understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but when the customer wants what he wants and pays for the job then we cant say no.
I believe this job was more of doing what most shops cant do and typically like to turn down. But unlike the competition we got the job done fast and on time with great prices and great results.
The pics below are one of the before and two of the after.

Agree with mdash........looked better before IMO. That said, I realize you were just fulfilling their wishes. I just shake my head and junk like that.

The wide tires on wide wheels has been a favorite of mine because everyone says it can't be done. I had 10.5" tires on 10" wide wheels.......and wheeled it like that. Everyone said it couldn't be done and that it wouldn't be able to wheel but I proved them wrong

But us guys with Off Road Tires might get close to matching the width of the wheel to the width of the tire, just like what you did with your Jeep. Now that will work fine when the tire is aired up properly and on the road. But what your friends might have been worried about is when you go off road and air down that you might have a possibility that there isnt enough force on your side wall and you might pop a bead.
Just roll up with some bead locks and stretched tires and air down all the way and ask them who's laughing now haha.
