For those wondering, yes we do have plans to do a production version roof rack at some point in the future, but this one is still not quite it. This is only the second one we've built, and we've learned more on each of them. Our next step is to make the design a little more manufacturing-friendly, shipping-friendly, and assembly-friendly, while also tweaking some of the features somewhat. So the finished product may not resemble this one all that closely, and unfortunately I can't give any sort of a time estimate for when we expect the final version to be done, or even a ballpark figure of what it will cost.
