Default no tow package. no wiring?

I do not have the tow package but am planning on buying a receiver and hitch. When rotating my tires I took a quick look and couldn't find any trailer wiring under the jk at all. I know on my previous titan (no tow pkg either) it came with the wiring but I had to buy some relays for the turn signals to work. Does anyone know if I have to buy a wiring harness or relays or anything?

You have to add it the factory tow harness. It's only 40 bucks.

Ok that's not too bad. I know with the titan just those two little fuse type relays were over $150. Good to know im not facing something like that again.

I got my 4 pin at the dealer for $40 bucks.. Its plug and play... Unbolt your drivers side tail light and it plugs in.... The 7 pin is more money but you have to splice wires...

My new JK didn't come with a hitch either. I bought a hitch (Curt brand) and a wiring harness. The hitch took only four bolts to mount with pre-existing holes in the bumper. Took ten minutes to do. Instructions said to drop muffler from the rubber muffler support for extra room but it wasn't necessary. Was able to move the muffler enough to get the only bolt obstructed installed easily. It took longer to find my screwdriver to remove the driver side tail-light than it did to install the wiring harness. I ordered the B&M Transmission Super Cooler, gathered all the misc. parts I need, and will install it this Saturday. Class III hitch and harness were approx. $130 with free shipping.
