Can I get some details on this hi-lift/shovel/fuel carrier? I lurked your profile and didn't see mention of what it was and didn't see it linked to the TeraFlex tire carrier on their site. I believe it is exactly what I am looking for. Something I can load up when I'm headed out, and that its accessible but simple. I'm crossing my fingers its not attached to the Gobi rack.

Apologies if I missed it but do you have a write up for this?

Custom Rotopax gas can carrier.
I have been working on modifying my Expedition One rear bumper tire carrier to accommodate 2pc. 4 gallon Rotopax gas cans.
The two back knobs are used to tighten down a top capture plate on top of the Rotopax cans, so they do not rattle or move around on the trail. I have also added provision for a padlock for locking down the top capture plate.
I am also using the original 3rd brake light cut to size and mounted on a bracket.
Additionally I will be adding a telescoping pole (made from a painters pole) with a LED flood light which will be mounted behind the rotopax cans on the carrier arm. This will give me good light in camp if needed.
Here are some pictures of my work in progress.

That's some nice work there. Doesn't look cobbled together at all, very professional. My only question would be the spare. Does it not require some tire pressure on the rotopax to keep it secure so you don't snap lugs? I guess I'm assuming that the roto's can be removed from the sides independently without removing your spare tire at all. Is that correct?
Very nice!

Would this mount work with any bumper that holds a Hilift in that position? I.E. does the rotopax holder attach to the teraflex hinge/tirecarrier at all or is just attached to the Hi Lift?

Hope this isn't off topic, but when you guys have a motel night, do you bring all that stuff in? Shovels, rotopax etc? There is no way to lock that stuff up right?
