Jeep Girls of the Smokies Holding Animal Shelter Fundraiser

Fundraiser will include dog show to help raise money for replacement housing.

Odds are good there are a lot of people here who will really appreciate this cause.

After all, the only thing more beloved than Jeeps here at JK-Forum are your four-legged, trusted friends. Heck, we’re guessing dogs spend as much seat time in your SUVs as significant others.

Just ask JK-Forum member dbo342000, who created a seat contraption for his dog to sit comfortably in his Wrangler. Unfortunately, though, there are a lot of dogs that don’t have anywhere to sit, much less lay their head. It prompted a group of Jeep owners in Tennessee to hold a fundraiser for a local animal shelter.

According to Local8Now, the Jeep Girls of the Smokies are getting together to host a Jeep Dog Ride to benefit the Sevier County Humane Society. The Jeep group includes members from in and around East Tennessee. They were prompted to hold the fundraiser after the SCHS’s previous shelter was damaged in a fire.

The Jeep Dog Ride will be held April 9 at the Jeep lifestyle store, Jeepism, located in Townsend, Tennessee. All are encouraged to come and join the fun. There will also be a dog show for attendees, with all proceeds from the event going to the Sevier County Humane Society.

Sounds like a tail-wagging good time, right?
