Really? Renegade Trailhawk Is the Only Jeep You Need?

I’m going to go out on a limb here and make two assertions about anyone who says the 2016 Renegade Trailhawk is the only Jeep you need. One, that person hasn’t ever owned a Jeep. And two, they don’t have any real personal history with the brand.

Now, I admit, I could be completely off base here. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time. And considering that I haven’t driven the Renegade Trailhawk, I’m sure many would argue that I’m not really qualified to weigh in on the matter.

Still, the idea that The Drive, a media outlet that I have the utmost respect for, could suggest that the more trail-focused Renegade is all the Jeep you need is baffling to most diehard Jeep fans. My guess is that there are some here at JK Forum who are still struggling with the entire concept of the Renegade in general.

In his defense, The Drive’s writer, Jonathan Schultz, does put forth a great argument for the Renegade by zeroing in on its all-around functionality beyond off-roading. But the story’s major position would likely elicit some interesting comments from those who have some history with the brand.
