Watch This CJ-7 Run in the Eights

Here’s something you hardly ever see. Then again, a CJ-7 that runs an 8.64 quarter mile at 153 mph should be a rare sighting.

The orange dragster, showcased in the video below, packs a 408 cubic inch motor from AES and an F1 ProCharger supercharger. Other mods on the Jeep, owned by Greg “Z” Zoetmulder, include a CSU billet carburetor, MagnaFuel fuel pump and Mickey Thompson ET 28×12.5 sized rear tires, as highlighted in a Dragzine report.

It takes the video a couple of minutes to get into the Jeep’s race, but trust me, the buildup is well worth the wait. Although, I have to admit, there is no way in a million years you’d ever get me to race a topless Jeep down a dragstrip at 153 miles per hour.

Nope, no way, no how, even with those wheelie bars in the back of the CJ-7.
