Default Veterans/active duty sound off

After reading through some of the very negative threads in the "Anything and Everything" section of this here JK community, I thought it might build some Esprit de Corps in our Jeep community for us to know who has served in the armed forces.

So if ya served honorably in the U.S. military, or in a foreign military that the USA is allied with, please let us know.

Branch of service:
Length of service:
NEC or MOS:
Last duty station or unit:
Best day served:
Worst day served:
Last war or conflict: (If not still classified)

The rules for posting are very simple. If you have served, please post. If not, please keep your cake hole shut. If you do not have something positive to say, please show some respect by venting somewhere else. All service related pictures welcome. No poser Airsoft, or Paint Ball pics please!

Hiya AZCA. Navy would be a good choice. You may find out that you really enjoy serving your country on the sea. Hope you don't get sea sick though. They still have a Merchant Marines. My dad was in that before he got drafted for Korea.

Ya, roger that.

CH46-E crash into deck of USS Belleau Wood
Is that the one where the CH46E was like upside down, hanging off the side of the ship, with a crew member from the 46 hanging over the salt water from his gunner's belt? If so, there is a picture of that crash in the USMC HRST Masters Course book (2-1-24). The caption under the picture reads: Gunner's belts do work. I think the guy hanging from the 46 is David Stevenson. Did you know him?

HA HA don't think just cuz I live in AZ that I get sea sick. I've been on plenty of boats on the ocean (most of wich for more than just an afternoon) and I've never gotten sea sick. My brother.....well that's a different story.
