When I was young I liked to fish, my Dad LOVED to fish, I LOVED to fish WITH my Dad.
Dad is gone now, and now I LOVE to fish, cause I feel like I am still with Dad.

Damn, never thought writing about fishing would make me cry. God I miss the old man, think I should go fishing now.

We are in the beginning of the Spring run off from snow melting up in the mountains. The river and streams are full of fast flowing, muddy water, very cold and dangerous. This will continue into June. Sigh! We are at flood stage now and more rain is predicted to fall all next week. Will the sun ever shine again?

Not yet, it's on the list. I have to convince the wife to give up going south to visit the sister in Palm Coast Florida and head north to the beach for fishing. There is good fishing around there though and it's not too bad off the beaches here (meaning Hunting Island State Park, Huntington Beach State Park, and places like that too crowded elsewhere)

Here's my buddy with the biggest catch of the last fishing trip I managed to go on.. it's been way too long. I really need to get out some more this year.

It could hardly get the bait in it's mouth.

Here's a nice pic of the lake that evening.
