Damn, never thought writing about fishing would make me cry. God I miss the old man, think I should go fishing now.
If you don't have kids yet it's a priceless feeling and the best experience I've ever had with them when they catch a fish. Make sure to pass it along with them or any kids in your life as they will think of you the same way...

This is what my dad asked of me before he passed. Keep real and make sure the kids realize there is more to life than the latest gadgit. Ok off the soap box. I'm going outside to cast the rod for about an hour for lunch.

Love fishing, even keep a fold-up rod in the ambulance for those quiet days. I only catch and release when working, and people love to see me out there with them. Gives me a chance to meet people under better than my usual situations.

I prefer Mountaineering, rock climbing, skydiving, and offroading more than fishing actually. But since I can walk to the bay to fish, I end up fishing like 4-5 times a week for a few hours all summer long. Also, most my friends don't like what I like, but I can alway's take them out to a lake with some beers, So I end up fresh water fishing 3 or 4 times a month. I usually get a LOT of stripped bass on the bay near my house, so It's fun because a lot of them are big and put up a fight. I used to date a girl that LOVES fishing. She would rent a large private boat with a driver once a month and go deep sea fishing. She even goes to Alaska once a year to fish . So I prolonged our relationship so I can tag along on the private boat with her... but after a while I couldn't take her any longer... so no more deep water fishing for me. Also in October I always drive up to the north part of NY (near Canada) with about 6-10 friends for 4 or 5 days and we get tons of salmon and stealheads
Where in NY do you guys go? We have a house in Mexico NY and are up there alot in Sep-Nov every year for salmon and steel head. My uncle also started a streamside guide service two years ago and is a certified NY fishing guide now, so he is up pratically every weekend. Its a great time!

Kidding! We are near that area usually, somewhere in Oswego. I'm so used to the drive, that I don't even remember the name of the roads, just remember how to drive there and around the town. The good places are about 20 min. west off 81.
You can tell me, but then you'd have to kill me right? Yeah, we have some fishing spots like that too! Maybe I'll run into you up there this year.

I love to fish but don't get out enough.

I've fished 3 of the great lakes, Superior, Huron, and Michigan.

I can't count the lakes and streems.

My favorite is steel head on the south shore of lake superior in the spring.
Shootin line (40lbs test) on a martin multiplier and a heavy rod.
The water is cold so bring your electric sox!
