AnyBody heard anything About JK jam this year
I am available to help anytime, work 4x10's, so i'm free Fri-Sun. I also have lots of area for camping/bbq....just don't have the nice coarse to run through here like at Scott's, which was fun!! If Scott was busy though i do have room. Just let me know....would luv to help out again. Have also thought about doing even just a forest road stock tour (jeep is traded and back in stock form awaiting phone call for new jeep). Just to get some new jeepers out and get them into it.
Jkjam was a nice stock and family friendly run that showed new jeepers what there jeeps would do. If u have never been out on arun before, this is a good one to attend and get your feet wet. If u are a more advanced driver then they usually have a group for that too!

I've started updating the JKJam event website and have got a new email address setup.
It is available on the jkjam 2012 tab of the website or on the downloadable poster for the event.
When do you guys want an event for?
I might start a poll here on a few dates to gauge interest and avaiability, submit suggestion over the next week for consideration.
Im looking forward to seeing a lot of you again, and meeting many more,
Cheers

I would consider it again. I went to jkjam 2010 with my 4 year old daughter and had a great time. It was my first wheeling trip. I've been out a few places since then and would like to test maybe a harder trail then the one I did the 1st time. I would have to see though if I can make the 6-7 hour drive again. With these fuel prices, it gets expensive to drive that far and back home.
JKJam concentrates on new and less experienced jeepers. We focus on the course to teach the basics and then a stock friendly basic trail.
then the idea is to get returning jeepers to come and help out as trail guides and the ones who have gone on and got experience with local trails (Bobcageon area?) to lead more advanced/and returning jeepers.
So far we have not had enough people with the experience on those trails to lead other groups, which limits what (and where) we can go.
For now, all the people volunteering to help have been needed on the basic trails.
I am hoping we can change this (maybe not till next year?).
Last year (sorry 2010), we tried to take a more experienced group further and go up to Lyngham lake, but the group didnt move quickly enough to have time to include it.
If we have more returning people then we might be able to concentrate on a more challenging trail like we did in 2009. That ended up working out really well, but that was thanks entirely to Help from Trickcyclist and maybe a good bit of luck that the different groups actually met where and when we had hoped.
The best way to do this properly is to get 2 or 3 volunteers with knowledge of some of the more experienced trails willing to lead a group.
Maybe there will be enough time for some previous JKJam'ers to run those trails and volunteer.
(I will be going to the run on May 26th organized here on the forum with the old date of May19th, this might be a possible JKJam trail if we get trail guides for it)
