DIY grill inserts, what did you use?

I was going to say Canadian Tire has bins of gutter guard. I actually have a 50 foot roll in the garage I never got to install in the front of the house. So maybe I'll try the same when my Jeep gets out of the shop- New post to follow...

Used the gutter guard material from Home Depot with the adhesive tie pads I found at Princess Auto. Cleaned grill back well and applied them - none have come off in over a year.
