Feeler for Winter Run Ontario
I'm looking at hosting a winter run.
Location Prince Edward County Ontario
this could be a day trip
could be a weekend trip with hotel or it could be weekend trip with camping over night little to no amenities.
Prince Edward county has many sights and scenes, there would be a minor trail trip at Point Petre (pron. Peter) with a light house stop there a trip to point travers/ long point
some sights like little bluff lake on the mountain
visit to black creek cheese
this is just a start perhaps it can tie into other activities in the area.
date looking at some time in January or February
the trail are should be stock friendly, might be rough for saharas in regards to fender scratches yes scratches are possible. from branches (these buff right out
here are some links

This will be a casual friendly chance to be a winter tourist and enjoy some trails and perhaps something u may never have scene if u didn't come.
So let me know if you are interested, I would like to keep this to jeeps but more the merrier right?
I would like to have something finalized for end of Dec.
let me know
Cheers
Scott

Given the dates I might be interested.
I've gotten a few army trucks stuck in Point Petre and I also coated a friend's new Dakota in mud in 30 seconds, so it should be fun, provided that I don't invite my friend with the Dakota, he would be looking for revenge.
If anyone is interested in the story, it was march 99 and everything was just starting to thaw. We followed a few trails in his truck and at one point he got out to inspect the sides to see how badly he was scratching things up. I walked around to the drivers side and since the door was open I jumped in and locked the door behind me. I informed him that I was about to leave him behind if he didn't jump in. I literally drove 50 feet until I was in the middle of a huge puddle that was frozen over. The ice broke and the truck dropped. I hit the gas and and cut the wheels for the nearest bank. When the truck hit the bottom of the puddle it picked up and slung mud every where. The last thing that we saw was a tree that I was headed towards, but it was pretty far away. I never laughed so hard in a while.

Once you have a firm date I will confirm, I am committed to Ex Road Warrior with 28 SVC BN in Ottawa and may have to spent the weekend behind the wheel of something much bigger then my JK.
