Default Insurance company that covers your JK

my insurance company, State Farm, is looking at dropping me because of the mods on my jeep. The agent told me that cosmetic stuff is ok but changing the engine or the suspension makes the vehicle drive differently than stock and therefore is an unsafe vehicle. I have a 3.5" lift, 35"tires. Has anyone else had this problem? What company are you with?

Just a side note: my driving record is clean. I have many discounts because of it. So this wasn't a case of them trying to use the mods to rid themselves of a high risk driver.

thanks

progressive, I just switched from state farm. You can even add OFF ROAD accessories by cost to replace them in case you need that coverage. So wheels, tires, lift, winch, bumpers, gears, lockers ......... etc will be covered and replaced to what you have. Save receipts just in case. Do an online quote. I even went with the MYRATE thing they got to lower my insurance after 6 months of driving. Well, hope i helped

This reminds me of a old juke.
A man was looking for a parking space in town, the only one he found had a yellow painted curb. He saw a police officer walking by and decided to ask him if it would be OK to park there for just five minutes. The officer replied no, that's a no parking area. But than the man looking for the parking spot had notice another car had just parked in the very same area with the yellow curb. So he asked the officer why the other guy that had just parked a moment ago, walked right pass him and he didn't say a thing to him! The officer replied, he didn't ask.

My Blazer has 13" of lift and aftermarket one ton axles with lockers and I never had problems insuring it. Sounds like State Farm sucks or someone just wanting to be an ass.
