Yep most I've done in a day was a little over 800 halves. We fit 9 racks on at a time... That's a long day and a lot of BEER too!

Ok, old thread, but I had to chime in, grilling , hardwood lump is great, I love it, great flavor and good heat, but I still get briquettes for cooking in the dutch oven, easier to maintain the cooking times I learned to cook with using briquettes.
hard to beat a ribeye cooked over mesquite lump charcoal though
