Best shop in north jersey!!!!!!
There's a shop on rt1 north in south Brunswick called Krazy House customs that do some real nice work! I haven't been in their place yet but I pass by it daily and they do have a web site! They almost always have some killer jeep parked out front along side some other lifted monsters!!
I will let you know what it's like when I stop in

Mike and Mike at Globex fixed the issue with my rear track bar making contact with the passenger side spring, Installed 1" coil spacers front and back and the evo skid plates. Took them about 2 hours to do all that, $215 after tax. They're good guys and know what they're doing, in all likelihood I'll be going back to them when I get the money to do gears/gussets/sleeves. It's about an hour away with no traffic but it's worth the trip.
Hey RRP777 - you might want to reconsider your thoughts about ACOR again as I stated in my previous posts.
As some of the fellow members here know, my Tie Rod end (Drag Link) snapped the bolt at the passenger side knuckle this weekend at Rausch Creek. After taking about 30 pictures and speaking to the HEAD OF ENGINEERING and their LEAD INSTALLER - it was clearly an installation error. The knuckle was not drilled out properly and the Hex Nut was not torqued properly. They have NEVER seen any of their kits have the bolt just SNAP like that. The pictures clearly show that the knuckle is EGG shaped and was not drilled properly. The knuckle is also made of forged steel, so no matter if there was any play (which there shouldn't be to begin with if it was installed properly) it wouldn't have ovaled out the hole NOR bent it at all causing the bolt to snap.
So, now I have to buy a new sleeve that drops into the knuckle, the hex nut, the drag link, along with a completely new passenger side knuckle since it was drilled incorrectly. Plus shipping for all the parts, tax, and pay for a tow to the shop to install it all over again. I would like to think he will be paying for all this and installing it again for free, but we shall see. If he is a reputable shop and does what's right, he should take care of it.

I stopped at ACOR a few weekends ago to check the place out. I'm going to do the Evo gussets and I don't have welding equipment or experience. I spoke to Jay, the head of their offroad dept (it's a big BMW/ higher end cars place, the offroad bit is new) and at the very least, he is very personable. He showed me around the shop, it was very neat and clean. He came out to take a look at my Jeep and probably spent 15 min talking with me about my plans, wheeling and this and that. I told him I was planning on doing most of the big work myself (lift, etc) and I only needed him for the welding. He was real cool with that, he offered to have me come in after I installed the lift to check out the geometry and alignment on his equipment, no charge. As of now, I haven't had any work done there so I can't comment on the quality of it, but I was impressed with his shop and his attitude. I put a lot of weight on the experiences you guys have had, but in this thread alone I could find reasons to avoid every shop in the state. So since ACOR is by far the closest, and the shop and the supercharged M3s looked very clean, I'm going to give them a shot. The gussets are small time compared to a lift, but I'll report after they're done. If that goes well, then I'll continue updating my experiences with them. For those of you who have had a bad experience there, I can't see them not trying to make it right.
Then again, maybe he is just a very good salesman! We shall see!

Clean shop and personable installer - yea, I agree - but that doesn't explain the sh*t job he did on my install. Yea, I might be bitter and every shop has their issues, but first it was my steering stabelizer installed wrong, now I'm looking at $500-600 to get my rig fixed because of a installation error on his part, all LESS than 6 months after the install along with being out of transportation for at least a week at minimum. Any "reputable" shop should stand behind their work, and his wasn't the greatest which my issue I am now faced with, is proof.
Welding on gussets is far from the same as drilling out a knuckle properly to fit in a sleeve and torque the flange bolt to the specified 63 ft/lbs. Not trying to say you're stupid for saying that, so don't take me the wrong way, it's just again, welding. There is no way my knuckle got ovaled out because of any loose play bewtween the bolt & hole(and as stated above, there shouldn't have been any play to begin with)....IT'S FORGED STEEL! It'll take over 2 tons of pressure to do anything remotely close to that, needless to say not a measly 7/8" bolt.
I didn't say avoid them at all costs, because for simple things like welds, maybe they fair well....but when it comes to installing a lift kit close to $2,000 and over $500 in labor - I expect it to be done right, and if not - it should be taken care off, ALL PARTS PAID FOR BY THEM that need to be replaced.

How much did everyone pay for gusset install? no sleeves.
The 4x4 Place in Lake Hopatcong wants $250
Globex wants $175
I'll probably go with globex but if I can avoid the $60 ride there and back I probably will.

I got a bunch of other work done with the gussets, but according to the invoice, it looks like he charged me around $110, but I also trimmed mine so they fit and he wouldn't have to charge extra labor time to trim and make it fit. Also like I said, I got gears from him, had him install them, along with installing a driveshaft, so I'm sure he didn't rake me over the coals for an easy gusset weld job.
Yea dude, just steer your way to your garage and throw a cotter pin in....then when you're done, eat some doritos and donuts

Haha, yea dude...that was some funny shit! He swears by those things too.... he's a hot mess that guy...I think anyone would be if you took the meds he does and drank as much as he does...
