Hate to bring an old post up from the grave, but I'm in the Saratoga area.

I'm curious, any of you in the Saratoga area know of any public off road spots? I've searched and can't find any.

Any help would be great,
Ryan

I think every one in here is from New England. I don't know of any one from NY, or any trails out in the northern Albany area. Try the East Coast sub section.

I'm in central New York, over around Rome. We have some state owned fire lanes around the Camden area and a new off road park is starting up over near Mexico. My daughter is attending Albany College of Pharmacy, she's just finishing her first year there, so I get down into your neck of the woods occasionally. I was out there Friday in fact. I'm not that familiar with what is available off road out your way. My brother in law is originally from Delmar, I'll ask him if he knows of anywhere to wheel.

I'm in Syracuse. There is a small jeep club based here in Syracuse. cnyjeep dot org. We meet monthly and do some runs to Rausch Creek. I'm looking for some other local Jeepers, especially JK owners. Good to hear that there is some other owners in the area.

Hope to see you on the trail!

-Bob

Unfortunately, there's nothing to ride around here. I'm not privy to any private land.

If you're around on May 14th, my local club will be getting together for our monthly meeting. (cnyjeep dot org).

Hate to tell you but, there arnt many public trails at all. I mean you can count them on 1 hand in the whole park... It COULD have some really really awesome wheeling but the people who shut down the trails have a lot more $$ and resources. Its a really tough battle to keep the trails we have. Sux

There are soooooo many snowmobile trails it would make your head spin

Adirondack Jeep Club (https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28700) is a nice sized club who has a lot of members with private land. That makes up for the limited number of public trails. They are a great bunch of Jeeps who are friendly and helpful to new members. I should know as I have just joined myself.

hey guys i know its an old thread, but i just got my JK and figured id post up in here. im from Ballston Spa and am looking for some decent trails to ride around here. ive found a few, but the legality is questionable so i dont go on them. when i had my XJ there were some decent logging trails over in the malta tech park that they didnt mind us going on as long as we didnt make a mess, but those are long gone now. i mostly wheel out in the woods behind my house haha i know its redneck, but it turns into a sweet swamp in the spring and i just cant resist. . i have only seen 3 other JK's in the area, one right around the corner from me is a jeep green 2dr X, the other i think might be angrisani20 (do you live in colonial hills?), and the third was a rescue green 4 door i saw over by the high school. not sure if these guys or gals are on this forum or not, but i thought id check.

Hello there, Ryan here. I'm from Ballston Spa as well and am in the same boat, I can't find any local trails. I hear there are some in the daks, but never made my way up there since I have no clue where they are. I'm right off Rt 50 in ballston spa by union fire, almost always have the top and doors off (rain or shine.) Hope to see you around some time.
