Default Upstate Trails

Where in "upstate" are you? I think in a previous post on this thread someone mentioned Whispering Pines. It is in Lyons (between Syracuse and Rochester). I finally got out there this fall and it has some pretty good trails you could check out.

I'm about an hour North of Albany... near Saratoga.

Anyone else in my neck of the woods that's new to the site?

Hell, some people in the boroughs consider the Bronx and Yonkers upstate. I went to school in Binghamton and all the LI and city kids couldnt believe how far upstate I came from, even though I was 110miles north of home.
Im in Middletown, and have declared myself a mid-stater if asked.

I'm out near the Casino in Vernon, NY. Just got the new JK a couple of weeks ago and can't wait to go out and get into some mud. I've been on a 7-year Jeep Hiatus due to the need to have a truck. That was just remedied and now ready to go jeepin again. Just PM me if anyone wants to get together one of these evenings or weekends and then have a frosty adult beverage afterward!

Semper Fi,
Mike

I'm from Kingston, NY. About an hour south of albany and 1 1/2 hours north of New York city. I'm always looking for people to ride with and trails to go on. Pickings here are slim
and i actually drove out to Mass. last time I went wheeling. I'm willing to travel a little ways to meet up with some good people even if it's a real mild trail.

I was excited to go home on leave with my new JK remembering all the cool places to go up near Russell NY which is in St. Lawrence County. I had a good time driving some of the old roads, but the DEC has shut off alot of areas and made them walk paths only. There used to be a couple of river crossings over Plumb Brook, but now there are huge bolders blocking the path. Seems the best option is find someone with private land.

Giving this a bump. I've got a real bad itch to wheel and would like to find some people willing to go. if You know of a decent trail... Great! If not, I'm up for an adventure.
