Well that lot will keep you going over your summer break.
Glad to see the student grants being put to good use for a change

Where did you order the Duratrac's from ?

It wont for much longer

Haha, yeh that is what I keep saying

I phoned around several Goodyear dealers just to make sure I got a consistent price, ended up with National Tyres in Paignton. The tyres are not in any of their computer systems, however if they get in contact with Goodyear they can get hold of them....they are sourced from Germany. There was a shortage but there was another production run in mid May I believe. Hopefully I can pick them up tomorrow if they arrive.

Not sure yet, think they might stick out a bit but nothing crazy. Will test fit them tomorrow and take pics.

The tyre guys had a job trying to mount them to the rims as the tyres sidewall had been squashed during shipping which made it hard to seal. Nothing a boit of elbow grease and ingenuity couldn't solve though.
They needed a fair bit of weight to balance them, I opted for stick on weights.

Started with the rear carrier today, need to go and buy some RTV silicon before I start the lift.

Yeah some close ups of the tyres to arches would be most informative.

Over the weekend got a bit done, most of the time I have been trying to de-rust everything, and waiting on paint to dry.

Rear carrier installed
Rear calipers painted
Muffler painted (although it hasn't worked so will be rusty in next to no time)
Snorkel Installed today
Rear mostly disassembled (waiting on a needle gun for the rust before installing lift)
Ordered new front and rear brake discs
Installed the billet/stainless pedals, gear knobs, wind-shield strap & rear light guards

The pic with the large spare and the stock tires made me chuckle.

Default Cracking On or what

Got a bit done.... understatement I would say !
Got anyone giving you a hand ?
That tyre carrier is just the job... what was it like to fit ?
Was there any welding to do ?
Tyres look meaty.. do you think you'll get away with them extending a little ?
Worth the risk tho...
What did you paint the muffler & Calipers with ?
It all looks good, even the gear sticks, were they easy to install ?
Thanks for the the photos
Your lucky to have facilities like that.
