Default 50 Posts to sell something?

I don't get this one at all! I have a JK, I occasionally post or comment - why on earth do I need 50 posts in order to sell something? I wanted to sell my stock wheels/tires but was told no way!

I am not a scammer, I am only able to get on here a few times during the week so I think 50 "legit" posts will take me a while!

Just a suggestion - maybe 50 is too much? I just got this Jeep, and therefore just joined the JK forums. I am ready to sell something in an effort to upgrade and build my Jeep, gain more knowledge and hopefully contribute more. So it seems to me that a person in my situation is now screwed by the few [ insert favorite swear word here] who ruined it for others!

OK...I’m stepping off the soapbox now to go and try to get 50 posts!

....and those "few [ insert favorite swear word here] who ruined it for others" are the exact reason why that rule is in place. Hang out for a spell. You'll have 50 in no time. ...and welcome aboard, by the way.

i agree with binford, 50 posts is too high. especially for newbies who dont have much to say, we're just trying to figure stuff out. 1/2 the newbies just post b.s. just to get their count up and turn a thread that should be 2 pages into 10 pages of worthless crap. (does this increase my post count by 1?)

Hit the registry and welcome the new members.

You can get 50+ posts in no time. That is what I did.

I love it, don't post useless crap, but we need to have 50 posts to do anything!! This system is set up for getting a bunch of useless crap JUST to get 50 posts. What is the point?
We can send a man to the moon, but we can't figure out a better method for getting rid of d-bag spammers?

By the very same token, you need to maybe take some friendly advice from the people here or this forum could have tumbleweeds blowing through it one day! As you see, I am not the only person here who thinks maybe 50 is a bit excessive.

The good news is, buy you and I debating this issue I will have my 50 in no time!

No problem, I think I have made my point.

Thank you
