Moab Labor Day Weekend 2009!
thanks, doug
Well if you really want to wheel on Monday, you could sign up with Redrock 4 wheelers for Monday...you really shouldnt go out alone. But I know the group we are going with, somebody probably will want to run something Monday! If not the waterpark is fun there!
Scootrrydr... May see you guys there that weekend. My wife and I are thinking of heading that direction. There are two motorcycle rallies over here and I don't think my ears could handle that many loud pipes, so we have to get out of town. I'll let you know if we're going to be in town.
Here's what we're doing that weekend...

Moab first, Arches NP. Then down the Trail of the Anchients to Natural Bridges National Monument . Then to Valley of the Gods, Monument Valley, Four Corners, Mesa Verde, finally to Canyon of the Ancients National Monument.

Going to be one hell of a road trip... going to get a ton of pics and patches for my winch cover,

Cool. My only concern is I'm not lifted like the rest of you probably are, which means steal bender is probably out for me, and I have to bail out of moab on the 6th... can I ask what the attraction to strike ravine is?
Summary: The 4 rated Strike Ravine trail covers the terrain on the east side of Highway 191 opposite Behind the Rocks and Kane Creek which are on the west side. It features rocky creek bottoms with occasional boulders and ledges along with one particularly loose difficult hill climb.
Location: Strike Ravine leaves Highway 191 going east about 12 miles south of Moab. It runs in and around Pole Canyon and other headwaters of Kane Creek.
Scenery: Rugged colorful canyon walls provide the unique scenery for this trail with views of the snow covered La Sals in the distance when on higher ground.
