Have you run Poughkeepsie Gulch? Let me know if you want company.
My parents called me as I was leaving my office today and said they were leaving Montrose to head back to the house in South Fork. They stayed in Ouray last night. For some reason, my father is convienced that the only place to purchase the metal that he likes for his roof is in Montrose. So he drove a trailer to pick up roofing supplys and is bringing them back to Texas on Friday. Too funny if you ask me.

I may take you up on the Poughkeepsie Gulch offer! My wife has made it clear that she will not do any trail that she thinks she can die on. I told her the drive up from Texas is more dangerous. She didn't crack a smile. So I have that going for me! She told me no Black Bear because of the videos she has seen.

That is great! I appreciate it.

I usually don't start getting vacation fever this early, but I'm so ready to get out of town for a few days! I guess its work and the heat this year that's getting to me (us).

lol...well, pretty much any trail in colorado you can die on. Its usually a 1,000 foot drop plus at some point along any given trail. :-)

I will also be in Ouray the first week of August. We are stopping in Canon City on Sunday for a float trip then will be in Ouray Tuesday-Saturday(4-8th)
If anyone wants to meet up for some trail rides hit me up. The GF and I are doing Black Bear, Imogene, Governor Basin, Yankee Boy, Ophir, Mineral Creek, Alpine Loop, etc.

Do you think I'm going to need to reset my Staun deflators when I get into higher altitude? Just so you know, my house sits at 700 ft. Just a thought.

What are your Stauns set at? Altitude shouldn't be a factor. I wheel at 10k feet pretty regularly.
Just stay above 10 psi and you should stay on the bead just fine. 14 seems just right for me.

You guys have me thinking of going to Colorado next month...
