Default anyone else like to "tinker"?

Just wondering how many other people out there like to "fix" their Jeeps even when there is nothing wrong with them. You know, park it in the shop, and take something apart, just to figure out how to do it? I call that "tinkering". "Fixing" things that aren't broken. "Tinkering" gets you no where, accomplishes nothing, and yet, is incredibly satisfying. At the very least, it helps to build the bond between "man and Jeep". Anyone else out there like to do this, or just me?

my first jeep was my first vehicle, and I didn't know shit. Just start small and work your way up. Start with oil changes and tire rotations. Take your front tires off, just to see what the brakes and wheel assembly looks like. Do the same with your rear tires. Learn to change your air filters, fuel filters, and electrical fuses. some repair jobs might seem huge, but if you break them down step by step, they are not so bad. just remember to make sure you have all the tools BEFORE you start fixing something. there are repair manuals out there that can pretty much help you with anything you might need, plus, forums like this one are priceless.

I am indeed a tinkerer, it all started when I was about six and disassembled one of the old school rotary telephones because I wanted to know how it rang. Still at it today just with slightly larger, more expensive, bits of tech.

Yep. sign me up as a tinker, er? I used to just tear into things to figure it out.. Now for some reason I can't do it without 100 hour of research on here before.. Guess I've lost my spontaneous tinker, er ability.
